Latest US Search Engine Rankings

Google sites led the US search market in the latest measurement from ComScore with 65.5 percent of the searches conducted, followed by Yahoo! sites (16.8 percent), and Microsoft sites (11.5 percent). Ask Network captured 3.7 percent of the search market, followed by AOL with 2.5 percent.

Google sites accounted for 9.5 billion searches, followed by Yahoo! sites (2.4 billion), Microsoft Sites (1.7 billion), Ask Network (540 million) and AOL (358 million).

  1. Concentrating on just the “big 3” search engines covers 93.8% of all searches. With Ask and AOL (which is powered (“enhanced”) by Google, the total is so close to 100% as to leave render all other search engines meaningless.
